About Us
Opened in September 2008, but backed by an educational group established in 1978, St Anne's Independent PRU provides continued education for all pupils who find it challenging to cope with education in a formal setting. Our School caters for pupils between the ages of 5 and 16, with Primary Level provision now available through our Paddington Bear Learning Centre.
St. Anne’s aims to work with, and become a link between, Schools, Local Authorities and Social Services. The school’s main concern is to ensure that pupils do not become or remain educationally disadvantaged by exclusion or illness. St Anne’s is a fully registered Award Scheme Development & Accreditation Network (ASDAN) School. All Tutors are ASDAN trained and all pupils are registered with ASDAN through our School. We are also an assessment centre for City & Guilds, Adult level 1-3 Qualifications, National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ), and GCSEs. We also an OCR, AQA and Edexcel accreditated centre.
In addition, we offer a variety of services designed to support pupils and schools, in order to avert the possibility of exclusion:
Trained and experienced outreach mentors and workers can come into your school to work with one or more pupils, or designated pupils can use St Anne's as a part time support centre, either on a regular basis, or for short notice respite by arrangement. If pupils are school phobic, incarerated, or sectioned then we can provide home tutors to provide education offsite.
